Edit framework-res.apk 1.100.49

Hi I'm trying to edit framework-res.apk to get 100 step on battery icon on froyo 1.100.49 rom with Tecnolover kernel..

I've some problem to repack apk with apktool :/

I'm using apkmanager 4.9

Also tried with apktool

Repack fails also with un-edit framework-res

This is framework-res unpacked

I've edited stat_sys_battery.xml, stat_sys_battery_charge.xml and added *.png into drawable-hdpi

If someone has time to repack could be good..

Make sure that the framework-res you used is pure stock. If it was already modded it may not work.

Ok i've made that mistake, now I'll edit first post with stock one edited but just tried to repack and give same issue :)

acer messed up their framework so you can't edit the *.xml, the *.png shouldn't be a problem... I haven't found a way yet maybe you need to rebuilt their framework from aosp framework =/

I've repacked framework without edit and apktool give me only some warning..

Not tried to resign apk..

I'll tri later to see if it could work :blink:

you don't need to sign the framework-res.apk :blink: but it works last time I tried it didn't work? (: That are good news :huh:

u want to add just the 1-100 battery step to framework? if yes, then post just the images of rounded battery that u add to framework and i'll try to repack it)

Take a look also at two .xml files

Could you explain how you does and wich tools did you use?

Was right mine stast_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml?

And obviously tanks a lot :huh:

i used the file attached (it has 3 xml files)..

i use apkmanager 4.8..the compiled file rename to framework-res.apk and copy META-INF and AndroidManifest.xml from original one :blink:

Well :blink: Now I've edit succesfully mine framework-res.apk

Using apkmanager 4.7 on ubuntu :huh:

Before I used apkmanager 4.9 on Windows XP under virtualbox :/

@Lgcmn: I've put only stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml without zzz_stat_sys_battery_1.xml :/

i edited framework-res.apk,, but ended up bootloop... i want to add circle battery,, i'm using gingerounay 1.2

Maybe because metalounay kernel doesn't support 1% step..

yes or you can change boot.img with one that support 1% battery step ;)
