Can Vega be Rooted? New ROM?

Hi Guys,

Can a Vega be rooted (say with, Universal Androot 1.6.x) and have things like Rom Manager, ClockWorkMod, and Recovery Images?

I have done this on Orange SanFran, and its sooooooo easy. However, reading posts here, cant seem to find all the tools needed in a single thread, and seems a bit grey area, compared to other Android devices.

How does one do the above?? and also, how do I get in/out of Recovery Mode. What are the best Roms to put on...? Wonna try CM7 as its Gingerbread, however are there anything to be concerned about? Are there different Vega's...? Like there is with phones, TFT/OLED, Gen1/Gen2...

Any help to get me started on replacing the original rom which is hideous, how Vega ever sold it like this I wont know!! :blink:

1. Enter nVflash at boot by holding Back+Power.

2. Flash this to add SuperUser + ClockworkMod

3. ????

4. PROFIT!!

Thank you so much, that was easy and painless... :blink:

Looking/and reading other threads I was like, hmm... this looks dodgy (so many appear bricked). Yet this was simple and straight forward. I have tried the rom from here Modaco (fast), CM7 seems a little sluggish, and one I like best is VegaComb, which I believe you had some doing in...?

Anyway, thanks so much for your help, worked a treat, esp with CWM.

And guys saying about the Root, is it really rooted?? Is it rooted when ya get it, or permentatly... as I am trying Titanium Backup and says I need root, which I dont appear to have, and Uni AndRoot wont touch it....?? :huh:
