HELP! phone doesn't boot

Hello all. I have an i900 bought years ago and it did its work flawlessly, but yesterday when I replace the battery, after shutting down properly, the phone stops working. When I insert either of my batteries, the phone boots automatically, and stuck at the first screen(showing "samsung omnia").

Because the phone is quite old, I am thinking of disposing it. However there are a lot of contacts details I don't want to lose. Can I still recover the data in the current situation? If possible, how can I mend the phone?

hard reset is the solution
