Guest ZTE_SeanJacko Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 Hi all I received an enquiry recently regarding whether there were plans for an OS update for the Racer. ZTE can confirm that any latest edition Racer devices should now come with Froyo. However, the updates for the Racer are determined by the Operators as the Racer is not sold direct to market by ZTE.
Guest Simon O Posted July 8, 2011 Report Posted July 8, 2011 As some operators like Three have no wish to upgrade the Racer to Froyo, would ZTE ever be willing to release generic updates online so users can decide themselves if they want to upgrade? Other manufacturers like Huawei do this without causing any issues with the operators.

Apologies for the hold up... been a busy week.... here's the official repsonse: "Because ZTE has not issued an open market varient of the Racer there are no plans to release generic froyo updates."
