Watching youtube in HD

Recently I've noticed after installing the Modaco MOD that I'm simply unable to watch youtube in HD on the browser, and the app will only show HQ which is non HD.

Any attempts to do so shows a break up in picture quality and colour, even though the vega was designed to handle 720p. plus there is a warning telling me that it is not optomised for a mobile device.

Previously, (before the custom rom) it was possible to watch youtube in HD on the App.

Any ideas, apps, etc?

I have flash installed via the market, and I've noticed a green box with an arrow on the browser youtube window, which I have to press to start a video.

Try searching this forum for GLES to try and get an optimised flash version that may work better with R8, the green box and arrow can be removed in the browser settings; there will be a setting that says enable plug-ins, currently your'll be set to On Demand, just change it to Always on

I have the same problem and the GLES optimized flash did not work.

I also cannot play 720p video off youtube even when overclocking to 1.5ghz it plays but still has degraded quality compared to 480p

that funny enough looks quite good and much better than 720p. Something is wrong that has broken youtube hd.

What roms are people having this issue on?

My rom is Corvus 5 rom sp1 (great rom and the best so far in my opinion). But the modoco roms was also the same.

The origional rom was fine with HD.

Lets try figure this out if we can. :O)
