Hello all,

Nice forum you have here

My apologies for reading the following for the millionth time, but I am a total noob and beginner in android phones.

I've got an Orange San Francisco which I had someone unlock and un-brand for me, now running on Android 2.3.3 ( CyanogenMod 7.0.2 ).

I ve had it for almost a month and everything runs smoothly and I'm absolutely thrilled.

Problem is I've never connected it to my laptop, and I did some time ago downloading this driver:

http://sanfranciscoandroid.co.uk/android/h...isco-zte-blade/

After following Step 13, my phone has been reset (?) to the way it was the day I first got it... I've noticed that everything I had installed, are still on my SD card, however I don't know how to access them...

Is there any way to turn my phone to the way it was before doing that step??

Another thing I've found odd is that it doesnt show any of my contacts... And when I try to import them from the SIM card it says that I have no contacts there... Needless to say that all my messages are gone too..

Please help, what on earth have I done?!

I too have a new Orange San Francisco which I had someone unlock and un-brand for me, now running on Android 2.3.3 ( CyanogenMod 7.0.2 ).

I want to connect it to my computer but having read your experience I am worried about doing so. Have you sorted this out or do you have any idea how I should connect my phone safely?

Right. I would say whoever first set your phone up for you left the image folder on from a tpt upgrade. The shortcut key for running that is the same as that guide is telling you to do in step 13. So yes, you have basically flashed your phone back to a brand new clean rom. :(

If you want to copy files to and from your phone all you do is plug it into the computer and from the phone, click usb connected form the notification bar and click turn on usb storage.

You don't need to any of what is written in that guide, despite it apparently insisting you do. Perhaps it's for older versions of Windows? Or ADB? I'm not sure! I've not installed any drivers though.
