Guest kd80 Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 I have a weird issue with my proximity sensor in that it only works in the stock ROM. I have tried GSF and SS RLS5 where both do not work. So I reverted back to the stock ROM temporarily in order to do the calibration (*930*0#) and it wouldn't always register as working so I calibrated, retested etc. and it was ok - and I thought this meant it was calibrated in hardware. So I re-install GSF and much to my surprise it doesn't work again. I hope it isn't the phone as it was brand new today (replacement) *and* OLED (so not so prepared to give this one up). Is there anything I can do in order to get this working (I would do the calibration again but that only works with the stock ROM)?
Guest k0zmic Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 Try re run the calibration with the same dial code in GSF, but you need the ZTE Dialer addon.
Guest kd80 Posted July 9, 2011 Report Posted July 9, 2011 (edited) Try re run the calibration with the same dial code in GSF, but you need the ZTE Dialer addon. Is it a ZTE specific and not Orange? I presume that's the one in wbaw's thread (install it via a full data wipe)? Edit: when I say 'ZTE specific', I mean is it a code that's for the ZTE and not something Orange have added on? Once it has been calibrated again, can I revert back to the original dialler that wbaw includes (which is much better)? I fear that by wiping the data, it will wipe out whatever info there is on the proximity.

You can try an alternative Dialer like GoContacts with a better looking dialer if you like.
