Guest chrismerriman63 Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 is antivirus needed on android devices, or do they mainly attack windows only? if it is necessary, what apps are recommended
Guest k0zmic Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 No, unless you go downloading random APK's from questionable sites.
Guest Blaven Posted July 11, 2011 Report Posted July 11, 2011 Well, android is the most hacked mobile OS. Depends if you live in a shady place or are often on public/open networks.

There have been several malware attacks on the Android Market. The apps have been up there for some weeks before being pulled. I'd say yes, you do need it. I have firewall and AV on my Vega and Desire.
