Guest gardin Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 Hello! Sorry for yet another thread about a bricked phone, but i really can't find any other thread describing the same situation.. I have a fairly new Blade, bought it about a month ago, with Android 2.2, so i guess that means it's a Gen 2? Not sure about that I have been using CM 7.0 for a while, but suddenly the WLAN broke and it started loop rebooting, so i tried CM 7.1 RC 1 which was great cause it has USB internet sharing, so i could continue using the Blade as a modem. But after a couple of hours of internet sharing, it just rebooted. Now when i turn it on, it shows the Android guy flashing, with a second or so inbetween. Many other threads describe the logo showing as when booting but here it's flashing, i guess it's some sort of kernel panic or something? Pressing down, up, home or menu or any combination with the power button doesn't change anything. However, if i press a lot of buttons, like all of them at the same time :D, then it's plain black, and if i have the usb connected, my computer dmesg shows: usb 1-4: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 10 But adb devices or fastboot devices doesn't show any device, and i've setup udev according to the Android SDK at http://developer.android.com/guide/developing/device.html I also tried removing the SD-card, SIM etc.. Thanks in regards! Johan
Guest hugobosslives Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 some details about your blade would be good? is it an orginal gen1 or gen2 for example? if you tpt upgraded to gen2. have you tried doing that again? i.e put the same "image" file on your sdcard and boot holding menu and vol+.......
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 I think there is only one solution left : You have to copy a TPT image in the sdcard and do a TPT Wake up the phone with menu + volume up + power You need to have a directory called 'image' in your SD-Card
Guest gardin Posted July 12, 2011 Report Posted July 12, 2011 (edited) Thanks for the responses! :) I think its a gen2 because it had Android 2.2 when i bought it. Ok, so a TPT, but i read somewhere that you can't do a TPT on a Gen2 phone? //Johan Edited July 12, 2011 by gardin

(eg ebay) if it was orginally (when bought from the shop) gen2 then yes the tpt won't work. worth trying tho.

What you can do however is download the stock Gen2 firmware package from here, use this program to convert it into an image.bin file, put it in the root of your SD card and power on with menu and volume up held. That is the Gen2 equivalent of a TPT. If that works, I recommend you go back to here and flash custom firmware - that way you will be able to use fastboot and TPT next time.
