help in Dell Streak Kernel or rom

I am a newbie in rooting and stuff, so please don't flame me. Just needed help here.

I am currently using Dell Streak and it is the best phone ever!! :)

Rooted by some application in windows but have NOT flashed CWM through ROM-manager.

I want to OC the streak but from what i understand, we need an OC kernel which supports the OC.

I tried to look for one (Yes I did!) but did not manage to find one. Can anyone here provide me some clues or help/comments in order to OC my Streak?

Just 1 thing though, does the kernel have any effects on call reception, GPS connection, etc. I hope not because now it has not given me any problems whatsoever.

StreakDroid 1.9.1 is probably what your looking for:

This is a small "how to" posted on that thread somewhere. If you have a ad-free / plus subscription then you can use the kitchen you build you a perfect rom. Otherwise (The free option) you can download the "pre made" rom from the same thread and use an install.txt file to build it yourself while it flashes.

take your time to read the forums as well, both on here and XDA, there's lots of info, and the more you read the happier you'll be. learning curve is steep, but not that difficult.

CWM isn't compatible with the streak, it will cause you lots of grief if you try using it. (the streak is pretty much open anyway, so doesnt need it)

The easiest way (With a stable build) is to flash a custom rom. Flashing custom kernels will just get you no end of grief.

And I second what fard said. Read every guide you can get your hands on as none of them are fully noob-friendly or complete, after that you'll find flashing your streak a walk in the park :)
