Guest clawdyu Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Impressing, can you post your settings in LG Camera? you can find them under video description of the youtube video.
Guest Roph Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 You don't need to use such a high bitrate if you encode it with h.264 instead. H.264 and 2/3 mbit will give the same quality and be much kinder on your SD card space ;)
Guest clawdyu Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 You don't need to use such a high bitrate if you encode it with h.264 instead. H.264 and 2/3 mbit will give the same quality and be much kinder on your SD card space ;) well i tried your recomandations and i don't find the quality the same. by using h263 i can get an average of 17.5 fps while using h264 i only got 11.5 fps. Anyway, i noticed that altough i selected 13 mbit , it records at about 5 mbit , so it makes no difference if you choose 5 mbit or 13 mbit. ( so 2/3 mbit will not be the same quality) i wonder if the processor is overclocked, will this get a higher frame rate ? and does someone know what to do to record at 800 x 480 in any gingerbread rom ?
Guest tsddave Posted July 16, 2011 Report Posted July 16, 2011 Thats very impressive but I think I will still stick with my HD video camera. Handy for moments you dont see coming though.
Guest k0zmic Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 where can i find the app? https://market.android.com/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera&feature=search_result
Guest ocirnes Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) It's a pity that lgcamera doesen't work on Ginger Stir Fry at all. I can start but not stop video recording... Edited July 18, 2011 by ocirnes
Guest clawdyu Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 It's a pity that lgcamera doesen't work on Ginger Stir Fry at all. I can start but not stop video recording... Well, it works on Ginger Stir Fry but only records 640 x 480 and the quality is much worse than what I recorded previously. Does anyone know why is video recording worse on Gingerbread than on Froyo? One more thing : I was able to get 17-18 fps in LG Camera by using stock kernels. With normal kernel that comes with Swedish Spring 5 I only got 11-12 fps.
Guest ocirnes Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Well, it works on Ginger Stir Fry but only records 640 x 480 and the quality is much worse than what I recorded previously. Could you please tell me your settings, because I can't get it working, even in VGA-mode. It never stops the recording process when I push the button to stop.

It never stops the recording process when I push the button to stop. try with the same settings i posted already in my youtube video , just instead of 800 x 480 you change to 640 x 480 . They work for me in Blue Ginger v4 (based on ginger stir fry 12 i think) , but the quality is unbelivable bad....it records at a bitrate of 450 kb/sec whereas in Swedish Spring i got 4,8 mbit/sec at 800 x 480.
Guest lol looool Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 (edited) Does not work on ZTE Blade using a Swedish Spring based ROM  the quality is too bad Edited July 19, 2011 by lol looool

Guest lol looool Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 mm i had 5.55 and softbank installed when i took that screenshot. :(
Guest holborn Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Installed ahb overclocked, then softbank kernel and went from 11 to 9 fps :/ What am I doing wrong?
Guest Roph Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) I'm having no problems on FLB. Here's a frame from a video I recorded recently (traditional English weather :P ) And here's the video on youtube: Not going to win any awards, but I'm satisfied vs the stock camcorder app  Edited July 22, 2011 by Roph

Guest bamsebiffen Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 For cm7 you can use the file on page 2 (at the bottom of the page) in this thread: Follow the instructions he posted. Than you can record @800x480 with lgcamera (and other video apps). i use h263 encoder, mpeg4, ACC audio encoder. I may work on ginger stir fry and other gingerbread roms, but i havent tested.
Guest lol looool Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 "Record video failed" on Froyo Spanish stock ROM
