These are: Al-Moazin - a muslim prayer reminder app that rings 5 times a day. iQuran - koran translation Hijri - muslim calender Since I'm not a muslin I really dont need these apps. There is no way to delete them on the phone, can someone please help me remove these irritating apps ??? Erik Edited July 13, 2011 by ErikAH
Guest Ste_B Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) I used Super Manager from the market. Of course you need to be rooted first. But be careful deleting system apps and data. Edit... take a look at the HTC Desire forum here and maybe have a search about first. :-) Edited July 13, 2011 by Ste_B
Guest Desert Chic Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 OK, So I have the same problem. I bought my HTC Desire last year after the month of Ramadan. I wasn't told that there were pre-installed Arabic apps that you could not uninstall. Really loved the phone so didn't give it back, but was able to disable the alarms and Force Stop the program from running. This worked perfectly fine for almost a year. BUT then Ramadan started on August 1st and the phone start resetting itself and so now the alarms go off 5 times a day. The phone even starts singing the prayers now. Force Stopping does not work. When I Force Stop, it resets itself as soon as it's time for the Muslim prayers again. I turned off the phone and even then the alarms and singing goes off 5 times a day so had to remove the battery. Only now, I don't have a phone. Really bugs me since I'm clueless on all things technology. I was very happy with my Desire but this wants me to just throw it against the wall!!! Anyone help????
Guest metalsanta Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Sry but all I can suggest is flashing a new rom,or rooting the phone gaining s-off then delete the app, have u tryed any app manager's? maybe u can stop it loading that way. There's plenty of guides on rooting, and flashing roms its easier than it looks but there are obviously risks involved.
