Guest pompeyrodney Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Last night I attempted to flash my Blade with Cyanogen Mod 7.0.3 and now all I have is a flashing Android icon on screen that I cannot seem to do anything with. It seemed to get as far as rebooting after the flash was complete, only to leave me where I am now. If I hold the volume - I can get to a menu with reboot system now, apply sdcard update.zip, wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache partition, install zip from sd card, backup and restore, mounts and storage and advanced. If I select update from sdcard I get taken to a screen showing a top hat with an orange semi circle with an arrow underneath it? Help is there anything I can do please?
Guest Phoenix Silver Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 Looks like you have tried to install a Gen2 rom in a Gen1 blade ? Need more precisions about this
Guest swisstourist Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) Looks like you have tried to install a Gen2 rom in a Gen1 blade ? Need more precisions about this again, bricked means when there is nothing on the screen, not even a light....maybe just the light of the battery. and thats all. so ur phone is NOT bricked!!!! its just not working correctly. so noooo panick! u probably took the wrong file, you shoud have select the gen1 to gen 2 to android 2.3. u select probably select a rom for gen 2 only. probably u have to look at revert back.or maybe ur file is corrupt and u need to relaod it. Guest drobson67 Posted July 13, 2011 Report Posted July 13, 2011 (edited) Hi, If it is a gen1 phone then a gen1 to gen2 tpt upgrade might fix it. might be best to ask mr pigfish first to determin whether phone has gen1 or gen2 as this is important in choosing which rom is compatible otherwise it will get bricked if your not careful. Boy that is a relief, thanks a lot, guess I need to find out whether I have Gen 1 or 2 now. If I press the power button I get a ClockworkMod Recovery menu V 3.0.1.4. Which ever option I try it takes me to the same place where I am able to do nothing?

Guest pompeyrodney Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Hi and a big thank you for your help, thanks also to Mr Pigfish as I have now managed to rescue my phone. I now have CyanogenMod 7.0.3 installed and have some more questions if I may? How can I get the Android Market app back on the phone, together with all the apps that are on my SD card. Is there a way to reinstall previously installed apps. Thanks a lot.

After entering your Google account credentials your apps may automatically be re-downloaded from the Market. If not, you can use Titanium Backup to restore if you made a previous backup.
