Resolved: Unable to install any more apps CM7 NB 126

Hi,

I'll explain the scenario in brief and the things I've tried.

Scenario

Each and every install of CM I've tried (NB 124, NB 126, CM 7.0 RC1, CM 7.0 RC4, CM 7.1 RC1) seems to allow apps to be installed from the Market at start - but then eventually won't allow any more. I'm no log guru, but just kept coming up on screen as unsuccessful - if you watch the attempted download in My Apps. I'm sure more useful info may have been in log, but I wasn't 100% sure where to access.

Tried

Read on various posts on the forum and elsewhere on the internet about unmounting the SD card. Tried - didnt work.

Ditto for removing the SD card.

Ditto for cleaning cache (all, dalvik, reset and normal cache)

Ditto again for clearing cache on app, through app2sd or some such.

Resolved

To resolve I went into SETTINGS > CM SETTINGS > PERFORMANCE and unchecked USE JIT.

I can't promise this will resolve your issue - but hey, its worth a shot and it's better than the 'remove the SD card' solution. Well, it was for me.

Your mileage may vary.

Incidentally, been a lurker for a while since I bought a Blade. Used the forum to help me install various Mods and upgrade my G1 to a G2 with a TPT. Great forum, and it would seem some amazing users! Keep up the good work. Also, why is it that the ZTE Blade section seems to be the most organised section on here?!

Anyway, my little contribution to the good work I've witnessed here.

Quick question...does anyone know why occasionally my NANDROID .md5 are corrupt? Seems to be another recurring thing. It's easy to rewrite, but dangerous as you have lost the original MD5's.

That's interesting, usually that problem is caused when the cache partition where downloaded apps go is not big enough. But cheers for the tip, I'm sure it may help someone if they have a similar problem.

Regarding the organisation of the Blade section, maybe it's because it's the most active and therefore gets the most attention?

Erm, not sure about that. What SD do you have?

Kingston 2Gb.

Seems to work fine in all other ways...just the .md5 files corrupting. I've reinstalled recovery thinking it may have been a dodgy installation of that. Still the same though.
