Viable alternative to the Vega?

I realise that stocks of the Vega are low to non existent at the moment.

Just came across this at Ebuyer that might be an alternative .

I'd like to have a play with how locked down it is before I commit my £££'s.

tbh, if i was in ur position, i wuld wait to see if a vega 2 comes out, and if not. Buy something else simliar, like the hanspad , or the transformer :)

Comes over as quite good, but at that time overpriced. Now its almost half its original price, so possibly a good purchase.

Adam, I've already got a Vega and a Transformer, (long story). I just put the link up for the Hannspad as a possibility for others who are having difficulties getting hold of a Vega.

I note that the Hannspad doesn't have a camera but it has 16GB built in memory.

and yeh, i saw the hannspad in the carphone warehouse and it is quite gd.

I have a transformer and i think its very good, i've not got the dock but its very fast. Especially since the recent 3.1 updated. If you can afford the extra i think going with the Asus is a better option.

I played with the Hannspree in CW yesterday and thought the screen was really unresponsive to be honest
