Guest vasim Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 Hello. Last night I tried to charge my streak but, a message on the screen : "Battery or charger may have a problem. Stop charging" I found that the charger port was looser than the previous charge. I think that Dell will find out that the charger became problematic by me , avoiding to fix the phone by guarantee. Has anybody another opinion on this? (The phone was on original android 2.2.2, no scratches , no humidity best condition)
Guest shi3ld Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Has anybody another opinion on this? My charing port seems a little lose but its just normal. If you can take it to a friend with a Streak or if your local O2 shop still stocks Streaks to try another USB charging cable. I had broke mine (the wires came off the connectors in the phone end of the cable) but I split the housing and soldered them back on and then reinforced it with epoxy resin. looks ugly as sin but works well although I did also buy another from dell's site.

This is the exacto problem that I have to the opposite side, the USB port. The cable is broken but, not like yours. But I thinks that the problem is with the charger port because If o move the cable near the port is charges sometimes. Anyway, we will see...
Guest shi3ld Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 But I thinks that the problem is with the charger port because If o move the cable near the port is charges sometimes. Good luck, I found when I moved the cable it moved the wires inside and it was an intermittent problem at first
