Guest David Gilbert Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I purchased a ZTE Blade last week and it was already rooted and flashed with Ginger Stir Fry Beta 11 ROM. It worked perfectly with my O2 SIM until I removed it to copy contacts from another phone. When I inserted it again, the phone didn't recognise it and said "Please insert a SIM". I took it out and re-inserted it multiple times and then tried the official Orange SIM that came with the phone but to no avail. I've tried a couple of other SIMs since but nothing works. I've re-rooted the phone and re-installed GSF Beta 11 but again no luck. Is this a hardware issue and the phone is simple crocked or is it an issue with the ROM? I've tried putting some paper under the SIM holder to put more pressure on the SIM Card but again no luck. Any advice would be appreciated as I really like this phone...
Guest Jetba Posted July 14, 2011 Report Posted July 14, 2011 I think it is a hardware problem, because mine blade has no problems with that rom. Is there dust or anything in sim reader? Can you put your phone to warranty, like return to stock and remove clockwork?

As a result I cannot choose any Access Point Names. My network mode is GSM/WCDMA Auto

Guest DVDeus Posted September 9, 2011 Report Posted September 9, 2011 Hello, I think I have the same problem (my friend actually). The phone worked for about three months, now the sim card doesn't work. I have tried two different and one Orange, with no luck. So it is a hardware problem? I went from SS4 Gen1 to BlueGinger V5 Gen2, but the problem exists. Any solution available? Thanks!
