Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 (edited) Hi all I thought i should ask for an opinion on my issue, since there not much more i can think/do about it. At some point last month i switched from kang CM 1.2.18 to LiquidNext (amazing ROM btw) w/ 4.002.14 GEN bin. I had been using gps navigation software since i bought the liquid without any problems. 1st couple of weeks on LiquidNext i went on a trip where google navigation kept rebooting the phone after 5-10min of use. After lots of tests i realized that the phone (mostly?) reboots when impossible/v. hard to get a gps fix. I tried various soft g. navigation, sygic, g.earth, g.maps, gps status, they all seemed to be 'killin' the phone eventually. If i run maps keeping the phone under a table, it reboots within 2min. I managed to get a logcat when the phone rebooted but a dev that saw it, didnt see anything wrong. He also asked me whether i had flashed a sense ROM b4, which i havent. All this time a had been thinking that it was a rom issue but i have just flashed 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1_Pass_A1 and the phone (sadly) rebooted at the same conditions, g.maps, wifi/gps on, under that table.. So i was wandering.. Does this mean that its definitely a hardware problem? Or has anyone had something similar happened to him/her? Any other suggestions? Thanx for reading Peace EDIT: Tried without SDcard in, same results EDIT2: Flashed 4.002.14.EMEA.GEN1_Pass_A1, 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT reboots on both.. This looks really bad im afraid Edited July 20, 2011 by Ximo F. Verde

This looks really bad im afraid I got the same problem when using this bin A1, 4.008.08.EMEA.VFIT, it's reboot and then the SD card was automatically removed, it's because wifi is turn on when idle time (some minutes, 5 minutes in my experience), i solved it, using automatic turn off wifi when iddle

Are you refering to Wi-Fi sleep policy in android settings?
Guest Ximo F. Verde Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 The phone has just been sent to Acer for repair (still on warranty ..) since it is pretty clear that there is a hardware issue. Thanx for reading and replying. Laterz
