Guest cls Posted July 15, 2011 Report Posted July 15, 2011 I have an Advent Vega running R8 Madaco, I have downloaded and installed Need for speed demo but when running the game the graphics are black and white and very poor, with visibility practically non existent. I don't want to pay for the game if it's going to give me problems. Would anyone have an idea of what is wrong. Thanks Colin
Guest Jisonga Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Try looking for the honeycomb version as that works great with no issues on my vega running corvus5 sp1. Jason.
Guest cls Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Thanks I will try that and post results when I have installed it. Try looking for the honeycomb version as that works great with no issues on my vega running corvus5 sp1. Jason.
Guest cls Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 I got the honeycomb version of need for speed the good news is the graphics are good. When loaded the game runs in landscape but when the race starts to get the steering wheel in the centre you have to hold the Vega in portrait and view it on it's side, very strange. I think I would end up with a sore neck after a couple of laps. There are no settings in the game mode to change the settings it's as if the sensor for landscape has been setup wrong for the game. Any suggestions. Colin Try looking for the honeycomb version as that works great with no issues on my vega running corvus5 sp1. Jason.
Guest Jisonga Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 You may need to lock the screen. If you are running corvus5 there is a built in widget to lock and unlock screen rotation. Works for me ok. Jason.
Guest cls Posted July 19, 2011 Report Posted July 19, 2011 Hi Jason The screen is already locked in landscape, if you hold the Advent in landscape the steering wheel is turned full lock to the left, to get the steering wheel in the centre you have to hold the Vega in portrait but the game is still in landscape. So you have to race with it on it's side and your head viewing it on it's side. It's very confusing trying to explain the problem to you. I have tried turning off G sensor locking the screen but with no success. Colin You may need to lock the screen. Guest Jisonga Posted July 20, 2011 Report Posted July 20, 2011 Doh just noticed you are running R8 and i am on corvus5 sp1. I have not tried this game on r8 so dont think i be of much more help. All i know is that this game always steered to the right untill i loaded up the lock rotation widget that comes with corvus5 and after activating this game worked a treat. You maybe able to get something similar on r8 but i could not say. I think these widgets work differently to the lock screen buttons on top of vega case as i never got that to work when playing games but corvus5 widget did. Good luck mate. Jason
