Guest andrew531 Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Hi, I use btyahoo as my main email server. The other day I fired up microsoft outlook for some reason which I havent used for a long time. All of my btyahoo emails were in the inbox in outlook. I closed outlook and have since gone into yahoo and all of my inbox has disappeared but all messages are still in outlook. All emails have gone from my Vega and my Blackberry!! I have sent a test email from outlook to my bt address and it appears in my btyahoo inbox and appears on my blackberry but it does not appear on my Vega??? I have tried to remove my bt account from my vega and reinstall which works fine but still no email messages appear? I cannot understamd it and it is really annoying. Can anyone tell me how I can fix this and is there anyway I can get my entire inbox from outlook back into bt inbox??? thanks for any help guys
Guest IanTurner Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 If you check the account settings for btyahoo in outlook you will find it's set to delete after download (or alternatively not ticked leave copy on server which is the same thing)

Guest gusco Posted July 17, 2011 Report Posted July 17, 2011 Sorry for going on a tangent . Am I reading correctly - that someone is using MS Outlook on their Vega? Is this possible?

Pay attention at the back, the OP is referring to three different devices. Obviously they don't use their PC much these days.

I think I'm going to try a new email client and see how I get on. You can access your mail directly on the BTYahoo website, and if emails are not visible there, they have been deleted by Outlook, and the only copy you have is that in Outlook. You could forward the emails stored in Outlook client on your PC to yourself, but they would all have your name on. You could amend the subject to show the original sender's name. Tedious, I know, but the default email client on the Vega doesn't import.

I set up the account to autoforward everything to my gmail account, where I manage the emails without losing them on my vega.
