Hello!

I want to share my MIUI icon theme (compatible with both Froyo and Gingerbread).

For starters, let me say, most of the icons* are not my creation.

I collected them from various places, such as here and there and I created some using the Suave HD template.

They cover 630 android applications and activities.

You can see some of the apps supported by the icon pack here, but of course there are many many more! :)

The icons are all of high resolution (120x120) and the installation is very easy.

Just place the .mtz file in the sdcard/MIUI/theme folder and apply with Theme Manager.

The wallpaper in the screenshots is a modified version of this one.

Grab it from here.

All credits to the creators of Suave Icons and MIUI themers! :)

Enjoy!!!

* Need more icons for your applications?

No problem!

Just post the applications you want themed and I'll post the icons as soon as possible.

You can even make some by yourself, if you use Photoshop!

Really pretty! Very good job!

Just a note: why use the Safari icon?

Then an application, actually two:

- An icon for Google +

- An icon for the Crédit Agricole (picture)

Thank you in advance and continue like that! Good luck for the future!

Crédit Agricole: fr.creditagricole.androidapp.png

I hope you like them!

Because I would have to upload a new file each time I make a new icon

and that would be a hassle because I have a really slow upload rate,

I am posting this small tutorial to add the new icons I make in the .mtz file from the OP:

1. Download the .mtz from the OP.

OR

1b. If you already have the theme installed in your phone, connect your phone to the PC, mount the SD card and copy the file to your PC from /sdcard/MIUI/theme/.

2. Open the .mtz in your PC with Winrar or 7zip.

3. Go to the folder named "icons".

4. Drag and drop in the folder "icons" the new png's you want to add to the theme.

5. Copy the .mtz back to your phone and replace the old one.

6. Go to the MIUI Theme Manager and re-apply the icon theme.

That's it!

This way, I can make any icons you ask for and you can implement them in the theme without waiting for me to update! :)

Wow, fast! Big thank you to you! The icons that you have done for me is just perfect! Try the tutorial in a row and I was editing this post to tell you if I had problems or not. Really a big thank you!

I take this opportunity to send the new mtz for Froyo! It is available here and if you need help to updatepackages, send me a private message, I would be happy to help you.

edit 1 : This is perfect for the tutorial, it works!

edit 2 : By cons you have not answered my question: Why do you use the Safari icon?

Thank you very much for the new mtz! :)

The reason I chose to post the tutorial instead of updating each time someone asks for icons,

is because I would have to re-upload the mtz in all those mirrors, when the changes are minor.

I'm thinking each time 10-20 new icons are requested, I'll be updating the whole theme!

I will take you up on your offer and ask for your assistance, thank you very very much! ;)

By cons you have not answered my question: Why do you use the Safari icon?

This icons were made by the Mac community, I just named them properly and added my own icons, which were created with the Suave HD template. If you don't like the Safari icon for the browser, here is an alternative:

after installing the theme, it appeared like a mixed up theme. I use TripNMIUI 1.7.3 Froyo so I downloaded the mtz intended for Froyo. I also find it hard to install themes downloaded directly from the theme manger (online).

Thanks for the tutorial to customize theme ;)

The version for Gingerbread is not complete I think, only 2,34MB than the froyo is nearly 14MB

Nice tutorial.... really helpful.....

Thanx :)

WOW, it's pinned! :)

@daskura: GB version has the exact same icons as Froyo. Probably the size appears much smaller due to the new theming system. ;)

I think daskura is right. No icon folder or file in GB version.
