Guest richardw1992 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Just bought a new san fran for my girlfriend today from orange, Mr pigfish confirmed it was a Gen1. I followed the guide to rooting with universal androot, and installing clockwork mod (different to the fastboot method I used a long time ago on my first blade). Got clockwork mod version 3.0.2.8 up and running absolutely fine. Tried flashing CM Green V5, and the straight away after the universal converter by KaltKaffe, note this is the exact same setup as on my older blade which is also Gen 1. However it just boot loops! I have been through the de-bricking guide as well, wiped cash, and factory reset. Formatted system, data, cache, sd-ext, boot etc. However all still to no avail.. :( Currently trying to flash a Gen 1 rom JJ9 to see if that works thinking it might be the converter? Any input greatly appreciated!

Does anyone know if its due to the version of clockwork I am using? I will try downgrading to 3.0.1.4 which is on my other phone running CM7 fine and see if that is the issue.

Does anyone know if its due to the version of clockwork I am using? The one by Psyloid? It's Gen 2 only unless you use that CM7 converter to make it compatible with Gen 1.
Guest richardw1992 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Yes Pysloids rom. I was using the converter, however it still wouldnt work. However on my other Gen 1 blade with the converter it does work. Im guessing it must be due to clockwork being a different version :S
Guest richardw1992 Posted July 18, 2011 Report Posted July 18, 2011 Okay guys problem solved! I down graded clockwork to version 3.0.1.4 and then tried to reflash CM Green V5 and then the universal converter afterwards and it all went fine!

Oh I think I remember why, the newer version of Clockwork can't handle the file size of the Converter for some reason.

It's the ones that sebastian404 compiled, they're all broken. The official versions of Clockworkmod which you can download using rom manager work properly.
