movies on vega?

just wondering how to get movies on the vega.

is it the usual usb drag on drop from computer, and if so, where do i view them?

or is their a app on the market which will allow to watch and possibly buy them?

You can set up 'shares' on your PC and then use a CIFS application like ES File Explorer to download or stream movies from your PC at home.

You can install Pogoplug premium on your PC and then use the Pogoplug app to download or stream movies (or anything else) from your PC to anywhere in the world. You need an internet connection with a good upload speed to stream movies from your PC.

Netflix is reported to be setting up in the UK in the near future, and perhaps the video section of the android market will be made available.

The software for watching many types of video is already on your device. Just tap the file.

I use UPnPlay to browse the shares on a PC and Rockplayer Lite to play the Videos as it plays everything that I throw at it.

You can also use Samba https://market.android.com/details?id=com.funkyfresh.samba&feature=search_result to setup your Vega's SD card as a shared folder on your wireless network which you can copy files to directly from your PC.

If you are wanting to be able to put some of your own DVD movies onto your Vega, you will need to purchase some decrypting software from the internet to do so which essentially circumvents security on the disc, but is rather illegal in the uk and as such I can't give any suggestions on software choices ask don't want to get banned (digitalspy do not allow discussion of this sort of thing - very nearly got banned for asking a question about it :( )

Anyway, I'm sure if you were to Google it, you should be able to find what you need to add movies to your Vega. There is the. other option of p2p but likewise that's illegal too.

As far as i know DVD ripping isn't illegal, and even the buying of bootleg dvds isn't illegal. The illegal part is when you distribute/sell the copyrighted material.

In the UK simply copying copyrighted media to a new medium other than that on which you purchased it is illegal currently.

So ripping cds to your mp3 player is a crime.

You don't need to buy a dvd decrypter as the most well known software is free.

Ian's correct. The UK is way behind the times when it comes to copying discs that you actually own as a backup or to install on your Vega. The rest of Europe allow the making of copys as long as they are not distributed or sold on, (that includes the original disc).

These countries impose a levy on recordable media, digital devices etc so the copyright owners can be compensated in some way for the making of the copy.

I download movies from Amaderforum onto my PC (USUALLY 800 MB in Standard Definition), then transfer them directly to my advent movies drop in box.

Amaderforum is a non torrent forum, it is a place where users post web links to file sharing sites, full dvd ripped movies and new cinima released filmed movies and other varieties.

I've not yet tried downloading directly from my vega, but I do think it has the capability.
