I'm quite happy on a rooted stock KE7 ROM and don't intend to mess around with custom ROMs. However, I would consider a new kernel and the upgrade to 2.3.4.

I have a deodexed version installed with my custom power menu. Works great! Will be posting the stock deodexed version with power menu later this week.
Guest zurg95 Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Hi, is this a wipe or no-wipe ROM ? Or better, is there any way to know it directly from rom content or from samfirmware ?

When I installed it, I noticed it formatted a lot of partitions including /data. It did not matter to me since I had already done a factory reset, wiped the cache and dalvik-cache after doing a complete backup with Titanium backup and Sprite backup.
Guest shadowangel Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 (edited) I updated mine with XDA's stock KG2 with 2.3.4 and it was a no-wipe install. Still testing it :) Edited July 22, 2011 by shadowangel
Guest Gary Crutcher Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 I updated mine with XDA's stock KG2 with 2.3.4 and it was a no-wipe install. Still testing it :) That's good news. Like I said - I backed up everything, did a wipe, then installed KG2. I prefer doing this to ensure things works ok. Restoration of apps is easy when using Titanium Backup - takes less than 5 mins to restore.
