LiquidNext, Android Market, and preinstalled apps

I'm new to custom Android ROMs. I'd like to try LiquidNext on my Liquid E, but I've got two questions:

1. Will I still be able to access copy-protected apps on Android Market after the installation? I've bought and downloaded several, and I'm worried I'll lose access to them and other copy-protected apps.
2. Will installing LiquidNext (or any other custom ROM) erase preinstalled apps from my service provider? My Liquid E came with Documents to Go and RoadSync, and I don't want to lose them.

Install malez recovery and do a nandroid, so you can come back to your original config. Root your phone, install titanium backup from market. Do a backup of yours apps, install new rom, install titanium, restore your backup (only apps, not settings) and you should be ok..
