Go into settings, accounts and sync. Click on your google account, then press remove account, when you now try and access the market it will make you re enter your account :)

it tells me to do a factory reset but don,t want to do that.

A factory reset won't delete the custom rom if that's what your worried about.

If you're selling on eBay I'd just do a full wipe, install the custom ROM again (best to do a 2.3 one and unlock your phone to get the best price) and then mount as USB Storage and delete any files off the SD Card.

Another market related question

Android market recognises my blade as being a 2.1 device, so doesn't let me download apps for 2.2 or 2.3 even though I'm running cm7 (2.3.4)

How can I update market account?

Can't find any way of doing it

Thanks

First try clear the data/cache of the Market app.

Reboot the phone

Sign out and back into the Web Market.

It may update.

If not usually you just have to wait, at least in my experience.

Thanks for this suggestion. I'll try this a little later and report back, but I suspect that's not the problem as I've cleared the whole phone out (doing full wipes, Rom installs, TPTs and fresh installs of google apps etc) dozens of times since I last had a sniff of eclair in Novemberish last year

The problem seems to be at the Google market end, where my account has recognised my phone as a ZTE blade, and (I assume) that a blade has 2.1

I could be wrong with this and will report back when I've done as you suggested
