Guest mitridate Posted July 21, 2011 Report Posted July 21, 2011 Managed to recover my phone a while back by installing GSF using the TPT method but since then the battery takes ages to charge while idle. Gets to 52% fairly quickly then takes an hour to get another 10%. If I want it to charge quicker, I have to turn it off and leave it. Any ideas?
Guest mitridate Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 charged it to 100% overnight then rebooted into recovery mode and deleted battery stats. rebooted phone and used it until it got to 1% then put it on charge again. Same thing Heeelp!
Guest flshg Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 are you using the AC charger? Does using usb make any difference? Also try and get hold of another micro usb AC charger from a friend and test that. I'm finding battery charging problems on my phone as well, sometimes ac doesnt charge at all, and I have to use usb, and a different charger from another phone doesnt always work either.
Guest mitridate Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 Tried two mains chargers with same results. not tried USB from computer yet.
Guest shmizan Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 nandroid backup and do a full wipe, pluswipe dalvik cache, reinstall the rom and wipe battery stats.
Guest mitridate Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I'll give that a go tomorrow. As I had to install GSF b12 using the TPT method which also converted it to Gen2, what is the newest GSF rom I can use to upgrade to.
Guest k0zmic Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 B15. If it still occurs try a different ROM e.g. CM7 or Swedish Spring.
