recalibrating accelerometer

Just wondering if its possible to calibrate the accelerometer, as i always find it a bit too sensitive.

i know you can recalibrate the proximity sensor, so i would like to know if you just use the same dial code or a different one to proximity sensor

My accelerometer is erratic too, after a hard reset, now I have to tilt my phone about 20 degrees towards left for to be perfectly landscape. All over the internet this problem is discussed and Google hasn't came up with one valid option.

All the G sensor based games make me tilt my head to play em too.. :(

Even market is OUT OF recalibration applications. Ironic as it seems
