Guest shpal Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 My phone locked after a launcherpro malfunction and I had to do a factory reset. I removed the SD card before I did the reset. I put it back in and although the apps all show on filer, none of them appear on the screen. I have tried "manage applications" but they don't show there either. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

What folder in Filer did you see them in? Edited July 25, 2011 by k0zmic
Guest shpal Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 What folder in Filer did you see them in? Some are just there - not in a subfolder - and some are in a folder "Apps"
Guest flshg Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 A factory reset will remove all installed apps from the phone. What you see on your sdcard are folders containing the data from the apps, not the apps themselves. Perhaps you have some APK files on your sdcard, in which case you can reinstalled the respective apps by selecting them in filer. Its possible that some of the apps' APK files are on your hidden sdcard ".android_secure" folder if you used apps2sd function. Otherwise you will need to reinstall them from market.

Thanks for that...I'll look in android secure. Actually after the initial panic that I had lost everything it is , in a strange way, sort of liberating to start again...i had so much crap!
