Guest goodadvice Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 Hi, I am a new member on this forum and don't know where to post. I have an old BT HTC S710 mobile phone which was given to me a long time ago and I've never used. I'd now like to try and use it. I put in an old Orange PAYG SIM and the phone is as saying "your device is locked, enter your device password and press unlock". I have no idea what the password is as I don't have one. Now I can't even turn the phone off in order to remove my SIM card. Please can anyone help, firstly with a way to switch the phone off to remove my SIM and then secondly if there is a way to unlock this phone for use with any PAYG SIM? Many thx in advance!
Guest RohitK Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Read the manual and find the default password and try to unlock with that. If problem persists then get help from the website. And finally nothing happens, get the help from the service center.
Guest awarner Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 RohitK SIM unlock code will not be in the handbook and will require you to buy a code unless there is a free solution which they may have over at XDA Developers?
