Guest emerald123 Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 i know it wont work because i can barely get my phone up to 80%
Guest k0zmic Posted July 25, 2011 Report Posted July 25, 2011 i know it wont work because i can barely get my phone up to 80% I'd say it's still worth a go, with ES File Explorer in Root Mode or Root Explorer go to /system/bin and delete battstats.bin. Reboot. See how far the phone can charge to. If it still can't go over say, 90% then do a backup of everything e.g. ROM, apps & data and carry out a full wipe and try another ROM.

Guest tsddave Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Im no expert but it could be you have either A) Faulty battery or B) Faulty phone or C) Both! Can you take it back to where you bought it?

Guest Atomix86 Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 its not that i think i has to recalibrate the battery or just wipe battery from clockworkmod If I were you, if you cannot get into your phone at all (eg. to back up your data), try flashing a TPT ROM. It is a full 100% wipe though.
Guest Sanddancer75 Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 Good luck fixing it. I picked up a 2nd battery on ebay last week for a little over a fiver & keep it handy.
Guest deksman2 Posted July 28, 2011 Report Posted July 28, 2011 It definitely sounds to me as if you got a rather problematic one there (hardware issues). First if I understood you correctly in the first post, you are having issues charging your phone all the way up to 100% (it can't reach that much no matter what you do). It's possible you received a faulty Blade. Second... RLS5 is not exactly battery friendly (it wasn't in my case). If your Blade is unaccessible for the most part, then try the TPT trick. Once/if you get it operational, install Clockwork and download one of the other ROM's. Depending on which generation of Blade you got in the first place (GEN1 or GEN2), stick with a specific ROM. Then again, modding from GEN1 to GEN2 is rather simple (moving to GEN2 would allow you to install Gingerbread - which does have a pretty good battery life - depending on the installed ROM). My recommendations for Gingerbread would be to pick from the following: CM7, Ginger StirFry and BlueGinger If all else fails, return your unit to the store you bought it at and ask for a new one by stating that the one you have is faulty.

Guest k0zmic Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 no its ginger stirfry tpt rom how do i install that cause i didnt really get the info on the forum You install it the same way as you do with the any TPT since it's a TPT. It just installs Ginger Stir Fry ROM as part of the TPT process.

Guest ColdEmbrace Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 I dunno how to install a tpt Read the forum about flashing a TPT upgrade to Gen2 it will tell you how to do it, further down the page it even lists how to upgrade + install some of the popular roms
