Adding T9 Dialler Functionality...

I'm currently using FLB-Froyo r10, I've had it a while now and it's very stable, working well, the only thing I seem to be missing is T9 dialling of contacts.

I have tried Dialer One but it seems a bit cluttered. Is there any way to add the T9 dialling function to the dialler Iam currently using or can this only be achived with external apps? I think it is the standard 2.2 dialler.

I thought Ihad seen an add-on in the forums a whole ago but cannot find any reference to it now. Search will not allow me to query 'T9'!

You need a new dialler. If you didnt like Dialer One, try Contapps or try the ZTE Dialler.

Thank you for the reply MWC.

Contapps seems far too complicated for what I want to do and I'm not sure where I can find the ZTE dialer.

I'm happy with the simple layout of the standard dialer with the four tabs at the top, others seem to add all sorts of whistles and bells to what should be a simple app. The mobile world assumes everybody is obsessed with Facebook and Twitter when all you want to do is easily find a number!

In the past, I used Dialer2 for a while:

A pretty basic T9 dialler which I was happy to use for a while. Worth a try.
