Hi guys,

I recently de-oranged my San Francisco phone and its working great; but not without a glitch though. Everytime I switch my phone on, the screen goes unresponsive and I cannot even unlock my phone. The only way to switch the phone off is by removing the battery and switch it back on again. The screen starts responding after about 9-10 attempts. Once it worked on the 4th attempt though. I am too scared to switch it off now. Has anyone faced similar problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Try a different ROM and see if that fixes the issue?

Try a different ROM and see if that fixes the issue?

Hi thanks for the suggestion. The problem is: I am not that good at these things and someone else helped me de-oreange my phone and install modado custom ROM. I tried to follow the instructions but cant figure out few things such as whether my phone OLED or TFT screen and whether its Gen1 or 2. tried to check it on teh phone but doesnt show the codes.

Do you know of an easy step by step guide to re-install modaco custom rom?

Thanks

Download Mr Pigfish from the Market to check for Gen 1 or Gen 2.

Swedish Spring has been reported to drain the battery more quickly but you don't have much option as you may get the non-responsive screen with another ROM (unless you upgrade to GEN2 maybe?). Try turning the Automatic Brightness feature on in Settings > Display and that should help. Switching to 2G only also helps but you may not want to do that, it depends on what you use the phone for.
