Guest eggoide Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Hi, I played with various ROMs and accidentaly bricked the phone - I couldnt use CWM, fastboot, TPT, finally I was able to install Clockwork by ZTE firmware flasher. However, now I cannot reboot to the system that I have installed from CWM, it keeps rebooting to CWM. I tried various (working) ROMS, wiped cache partition and data with no luck, it keeps rebooting to CWM. Any idea what can I do to make it boot normally? Thank you!
Guest philmein Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 try sweedish spring it boots with gen2 and gen 1 phones
Guest eggoide Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Thank you, just tried - same situation. I am not experienced pro but it seems that I need to rewrite some kind of boot information that is currently set to boot CWM, no ROM has rewritten it...:(
Guest wbaw Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 Problem is that you used the ZTE firmware flasher despite all the warnings that you'd lose your IMEI, corrupt nvram & it'll be a hassle to restore it. Method 5.
Guest eggoide Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 I had to:( Nothing else worked... I know that I used quite risky way but I restored IMEI as described in the guide. Is there a way out?
Guest wbaw Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 (edited) Read the instructions, carefully. You still have corrupt NV memory, that is why it will only start in recovery mode. There is a way out, using that ZTE firmware flasher, but it'll be a lot of hassle & I've never had to do it, so you'll just have to read the threads on it. Edited July 26, 2011 by wbaw
