Vega touchscreen not repsonding

Hi. I bought a vega on the basis of the great discussions here and the custom roms available for the vega. Bought it from dixons a few days ago but on booting the screenlock stays on forever and doesn't respond at all when trying to slide the lock. After a minute or so the touchscreen :(starts to respond. Do you think this is a hardware or software fault? What do I do???!?!!:mellow:

Hmmm does sound very strange behaviour for the Vega. Is it 100% charged? Try rebooting once fully charged and if there is still no response then it may well be a case of a dud device but this is the first I've heard of one personally. <_<

Make sure you never touch the screen when it's booting, sometimes this makes the touchscreen not work until you reboot the tablet.

thanks for all the pointers. I tried the reboot/no touch. Made no difference. So I rebooted a few in shops and realised that mine must be a duff. So replaced and :D we're cookin with corvus...

That happened to me, ran the screen calibration and it worked fine again.
