Guest giallone Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 (edited) My ZTE is a native Gen1, and rotation worked fine when I used Swedish Rom. When I moved to 2.3.4 Cyanogenmod, rotation stopped working, so I went back to FLB r11 Gen2. The problem is that now rotation doesn't work. I tryed to go back to stock rom, but even there rotation worked with ONLY some of the stock rom(orange 2.1) and not every one. I tryed to go back to gen1 and to do the same with swedish, and FLB, but I cannot solve the problem. Rotation doesn't work. Is this a kernel problem or what? Can someone suggest me how to solve this problem? Cheers. Luca. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: The display stopped rotating after installing Green V4. Rom installed but rotation not working: SS, JJ, FLB(gen1, gen2). Rom with Rotation Working: Stock Rom Orange via TPT Edited July 27, 2011 by giallone
Guest hudasp Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 How long do you have Blade? ZTE made new Blades with different sensors in last time (in Czech Republic sales from 15th July) and it will be need add new drivers to CM7 kernel. Tom knows this problem.

No, my Blade is not a New One. It was bought about in April, and before installing Green V4, rotation worked correctly. I am afraid I installed something else (like kernel) that should be overwritten to take everything to the old state.
Guest Enz Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 I think you need to start from here: http://android.modaco.com/topic/334849-rom-froyo-swedish-spring-rls5-2011-04-19-oledtft-gen1gen2/ Flash the Softbank Kernel after installing a rom. Tested and working 100% with Flbr11 Gen1, but I think is almost the same... Softbank Kernel will switch again compass and rotating sensor on with the correct drivers.

If I use softbank kernel at least Swdish rotation works again!!! But if later I install FLBr11 GEN2 the System doesn't start! If I try FLB GEN1, and later I install that kernel I get the message THIS IS A NOT GEN2 Phone. Is there a softbank kernel for Gen1, working with FLB?
