Guest _JT Posted July 29, 2011 Report Posted July 29, 2011 (edited) I've tried to backup my phone but can make out wether I've done it right? Want to backup my settings, sms/mms, contacts, calender and apps. This is what's back-upped: - System apps - System data com.android.providers.calendar com.android.providers.contacts com.android.providers.settings com.android.providers.telephony com.android.providers.userdictionary com.keramidas.virtua.ACCOUNTS I think I've done it right but I want to be sure before I update and lose all my data. Can anyone tell me if I've done it right? Edited July 29, 2011 by _JT
Guest flshg Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 What are you about to update? If you are upgrading (e.g. android 2.1 to 2.2), then you shouldn't backup and restore system apps or data as that will cause problems. Better to allow your calendar and contacts to sync to google servers, then they will be downloaded when you have upgraded and sign back into google on your phone. Use your sms app to backup sms to your sdcard. Titanium is more for backing up apps that you have downloaded.
