vega frozen when in usb host mode

Hi everbody,

I am new to this site as well as the whole computing stuff. I am stuck with my new tablet and wondering if somebody can be kind enough to give their expertise .

I have bought a new Advent Vega and after much struggle managed to install paul's Custom ROM r8 using windows XP.

prioir to it I have flashed the full softaware update image is NEW - Version 1.10 FULL system image - WITH ADOBE FLASH as well as usb driver from myadventvega.co.uk.

It worked fine, but I wanted to use a usb drive which had some videos. It asked for mode which I selected appropriately as USB Host. It asked for permission from superuser which i granted and then my vega went into limbo. It was backlit and I could not switch on or off. I left it like that until power was completely discharged . Then recharged and switched on. The backlit come son but nothing else .I am able to switch on as well as off it but all it does is backlit.

I have searched the forums already and could find the answer.

Can anybody suggest anything to help me.

My thoughts would be flash back to stock then to the modded from of your choice.

The question is how did you get into Host mode? I have seen a utility to switch modes but you need to be careful that it is compatible. If yo do a quick search you will find many articles on how to switch modes on the Vega and some will include the most popular roms.

Zeb, the tool worked perfect. thanks for that.

Only I was asked to reinstall driver software even though I already did it . But once that done rest was just very simple.

Will try and load some apps from market now. I do not how people solved problems before forums. Thanks a million
