Guest paul-uk Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 Hi I have a ZTE Blade and would like any advice on improving its appearance, speed and battery life. Any suggestions welcome Model Number: ZTE Blade Android Version: 2.2 Baseband Version: P729BB01 Kernal Version: 2.6.32.9-perf zte-kernel@zdroid-smt Build Number: FLB-Froyo-r10 Also, is the Blade capable of handling dual sims? - if so, what do I need to do. Thanks Paul

Thanks Paul Firstly for speed and battery life, I would head over to the Ginger Stir Fry thread, that Rom has excellent battery life compared to any Froyo that I tried, and it is very snappy too. On the appearance front, I have used Launcher Pro from the market, with excellent effects, screen options, icon options and widget, it is possible to get just about any look you are after - the Pro version is very well worth the money. I hope this helps :)
Guest Uppy Posted July 30, 2011 Report Posted July 30, 2011 I agree, Launcher Pro is a must. I use Cyanogen Mod 7, brilliant ROM, very fast and super stable plus theme chooser. On another note I'd suggest Go SMS Pro to make your texts all fancy. I have used Chomp and Handcent but I much prefer Go SMS. Fancy Widgets and Beautiful Widgets Lite both offer some lovely weather/clocks. hope this helps too. I wouldnt recommend SPB Shell, at a rather extortionate £10 price tag its slow and ugly.
Guest adamsy Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 +1 and +1 for Ginger Stir Fry and Launcher Pro (or Launcher Pro Plus as I use) Definite winner above the rest I think !!
Guest maniac_mouse Posted August 1, 2011 Report Posted August 1, 2011 (edited) zeem launcher, fancy widget Feedr rss reader and because im in the u.k and its summer, aix weather with its nifty rain prediction graph :) Ginger stir fry is definately the way to go on the rom front, iv found that battery life is better than any other rom iv used, although for stability Swedish spring was rock solid (i have had gsf freeze up when unlocking the screen after booting a few times, no biggy, but worth noting).
