Guest feckineejit Posted July 31, 2011 Report Posted July 31, 2011 As topic says is this the end for the blade, now that a few Rom makers are gone, hope we're not left with just cm7 as i don't like or use it. Atm i'm using blue ginger v5 and have a backup of GSF 13 on my phone. these are the only 2 types of Roms i like using. Does anyone know if wbaw or Psyloid will or have moved to another forum to post there Roms?

The admin team are becoming aware of the recent events on the Blade forum and we are trying to sort things out. The very last thing we want is to lose a community. I remember the good old days of FLB froyo,exellent roms. FLB gingerbread would be amazing!

A Blade owning moderator would likely be reading this section of the forum more frequently and able to stop things getting out of hand, rather than waiting for someone to report it. Things blow over. Nobody dies. Personally I would prefer that the people who've been banned are allowed back as they've made big contributions, but whether or not they are, there are other developments in the pipeline (looking eagerly in your direction, hecatae) and still more following the anticipated release of source for the libra and skate The world will continue to turn and we can all hope to be a little bit wiser and more polite for this fiasco. Hopefully some helpful person will post his updates here. I can't see recent events effecting the life of this phone or board in the long run. There are several skilled OSF modders on this site and hopefully a few of them will continue where wbaw and Psyloid have left off. GSF was the most stable, useable rom for this phone to date imo, and there's no reason why that success can't be built upon.

Someone care to explain please? wbaw criticized Psyloids Blue Ginger ROM and stated there were basically no useful changes and that the speed increase Pysloid claimed to have done for his ROM was not true. Consequently, Psyloid was offended and removed links for the downloads and quit the forum. wbaw later stated he could have been more tactful. Chaos ensued as fans of each ROM/Developer debated/argued on the occurrences above. As a mod got involved there was more backlash towards him as some felt the bans on a few members were uncalled for as well as the locks on a few topics. That was just off the top of my head, I apologize if some of that may be incorrect or if I've missed any significant details. I've tried to be as objective as I can be. Edited July 31, 2011 by k0zmic

A moderator got involved. wbaw and some others got banned. psyloid terminated his account and deleted his roms. Obviously the ginger stir fry thread got canned either. All in all, just another day at the office.
