Trouble rooting brothers Desire

Both my brothers have new Desires with HBOOT 0.93. Ones is a Black one from orange, the other is the usual colour.

I ran unrevoked on both.It doesn't even detect the first one. The second one (Black) gets detected and successfully roots and has superuser access but when trying to flash roms it don't work.

Am i missing something? Help much appreciated.

Well you'll need to give more details. What recovery are you putting in? Can you get into recovery?

So you have one black one, and the usual one is black too, well a kind of dark grey colour, no?

And mine was unbranded, but you should check if you've to do anything to unbrand it before root, I'm not too sure about it as mine was unbranded.
