Fast camera app?

Folks,

Which camera app do you find to be the fastest? The default camera app takes about 5 seconds to initialise which is way too long. I installed camera magic it seems to take about 3 seconds to initialise. Any faster ones?

vignette loads in about 3 seconds as well, lgcamera takes about 5. I doubt you'll find anything much faster, but surely 3 seconds is acceptable? Some digital cameras take about as long to start up

what about the time taken from pressing the capture button to it actually taking a pic.? Can anything be done about that?

The autofocus is the main cause of the delay after pressing shutter button. You can turn it off in both stock camera app and lgcamera. But only good for taking pictures from certain distance (not macro, etc..)

Presumably the only way to increase picture take/save time = OCing the processor so it processes the image faster and i higher class of SD card so it saves faster ready for the next shot. No promises thats an easy fix though just my two cents

I would think decreasing the picture resolution would make more of a difference.

To take a lot of pictures in quick succession try "Fast Burst Camera". Fast Burst Camera is capable of taking 5 to 10 photos per second. Hold shoot button for continuous burst.
