Guest Andro0 Posted August 2, 2011 Report Posted August 2, 2011 Hello there, When I send/receive SMS I can see my contact's pictures in the SMS thread but not mine. It's a sort of grey square. Is there a way to add a custom picture on display?

All apps use info including pictures from there, so add a picture to your contact details and it will appear in your SMS app. Anil.

Yep I did, I have myself as a contact but the little square is still grey. I'm using the default SMS app on ZTE.

If you go to Settings --> Status --> About Phone, is your correct number indicated under 'My Number'? If not, you need to get this set correctly. There is an app on the Market called 'My Phone Number' by Lytsing (or somthing similar sounding) that works for most people but some (including me) we unable to install it for some reason. If this doesn't work, I think the only option is to put your SIM in an older phone that allows you to manually enter 'My Number' in the settings then switch it back to your phone when done. Sorry to be so vague. I had the same problem back in February when I first got my SF and can't remember much about getting it sorted. It eventually worked after much fiddling about and I was never 100% sure exactly what fixed it.
