Hi all,

For a while now my ZTE blade will crash. Sometimes when I want to take a call, sometimes its already crashed when I pick it up, sometimes when I'm browsing.

Usually I can get it to turn back on by taking out the battery and putting it back in. A couple of times I've needed to put it back on charge and then turn it on.

Its definitely not because its low on charge. I think its gettting worse.

I still have about 2 months on the warrenty but don't really want to take it back to the shop as I'm guessing they just post it off somewhere or they'll tell me to post it somewhere (?) either way I won't have a phone for a bit.

I've never installed any new ROMs - it still has the original one and all the original orange software. The only thing I've done is unlocked it to T-Mobile.

Searching the forum I found something similar but that was a later ROM.

So does anyone know of a way to fix this or do you all think I should just take it back and deal with it? Would they have an issue with me unlocking it?

Much appreciated

If you've not modified it in any way I'd think it was a hardware fault. Depending on where you got it and how firm you are with them they should give you a replacement the same day (if it's an Orange shop or Argos).

I'd be happier taking it back instead of unlocking it and flashing a new ROM as they'd then have a reason to try and refuse to replace it.

Great - I bought it from an actual Orange shop in case something like this happened to I'll put the Orange sim card in, take it back and see what they say. I guess they might work out that its been unlocked and that I haven't even used the initial top up but worth a go.

One of these days I'll get caught out with a crashing phone as I don't remember anyone's numbers anymore!
