Guest Pullaah Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 Hi, I just turned 15 and got some money as a gift, and i was thinking should i still buy a galaxy s? I dont receive big amounts of money, so i have bout 350€ now and the galaxy s costs about 330€. I have a acer liquid now and i cant really afford galaxy s2 or new tegra 2 devices, cos i get only 10€ in MONTH -.-, so no possibilities to save money. It would take years to buy a brand new phone :D . So what do you think? or any other phones that price? p.s. sorry for my bad english.

Guest everett_psycho Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 (edited) I'm not sure what the deal with it is but there's rumblings about the samsung galaxy R, they've confirmed it exists and it was due the end of July but it's still nowhere to be seen. Might be worth waiting a bit seeing how much they are planning on pumping it out for , news should be due soon seeing as it's supposed to have hit the market this week. Edit: The R is supposed to have the tegra 2 chip and a 4.2 inch LCD screen instead of the AMOLED of the S2 but looks like it could be a nice cheaper option. Edited August 4, 2011 by everett_psycho

I love my galaxy s captivate and wouldn't trade it for the world, well except the galaxy s II. the galaxy s is by far the best phone you can get for the money. I also had a liquid e before i got it and what a huge difference defently worth the upgrade!
Guest akkubhai Posted February 3, 2012 Report Posted February 3, 2012 The galaxy S has strange battery and bluetooth issues, i have encountered the same and has deposited my device for repair at the Samsung customer center. Apart from that let me say you that Galaxy S runs the outdated Android versions and samsung has recently announced it officially that no ICS update will be possible for galaxy S. After around 20 million users worldwide screamed about it, then samsung has just announced a value pack of ICS to the galaxy S users, this is just like showoff of the new ICS features, so that you buy them. So don't buy a samsung galaxy S, but since your budget is limited so you can buy something else.
