How to change storage sizes?

Hello Everyone,

I m looking for a way to change the (if its correct said) system rom size, so i can make the partition where my own apps are stored bigger. Can anyone explain to me in a simple way ( i m far from an expert) how to do this and also how to backup the original configuration?
