Travel Niceties

Hi all, and if I'm the only person who cares about these things, but these are some travel niceties (sp?) that would be lovely to have included in themes in the future:

• Most of the recent ROMs reduce the cities available to you under the Date and Time Settings. Moreover, the long name of the time zone (e.g. British Summer Time, Eastern Daylight Time) seems to have been lost in favour of other, less detailed names (e.g. London, Dublin or Eastern Time). I was having a play with the Dalvik Explorer (see market) and there are 555 cities and some useful generic settings (e.g. GMT + 2 or Zulu) that are available to be used, and all of the proper long names of the time zones for both Standard and Daylight/Summer Time are included as part of each city file. Why this information has been discarded in favour of less detailed information beats me. Can a theme override this reduction of information in the ROM and give us all the cities in the settings? Is there something in the market available that I don't know about? The only ROM that uses the raw list from what I can remember is the old FLB based on the Chinese 2.2 kernel, so there may be a source there for those who are actually able to do something unlike me!
• The displayed network in the lockscreen also does not change from the provider of the SIM card when roaming abroad. One has to go to "status" to see what network one is on. This is useful for those with bilateral agreements for data usage that are becoming more commonplace (e.g. "3 like home"). If you are in a low signal area and accidentally are browsing along on the wrong roaming network, this could be monetarily quite annoying. I haven't yet seem a ROM that solves this. Any thoughts, themers?
