Guest Lens_flare Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 For MIUI you should flash 4.002.14 first and baseband should be 05.01.05.

Guest fpbasilio Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 (edited) Hi! sorry im new to MIUI, may i know whats the difference between the three official stable and the official beta? which one is the best with less issues? Edited August 8, 2011 by fpbasilio
Guest Master_T Posted August 8, 2011 Report Posted August 8, 2011 Hi! sorry im new to MIUI, may i know whats the difference between the three official stable and the official beta? which one is the best with less issues? Official "all-HW" is same as official but with fixed camcorder. Phoenix version is in chinese (you need an english language pack) and is built on a different kernel. The recommended version is the "all-hw" one. @Users of 1.8.5: can you tell me how's battery compared to stable? I tried 1.7.22 some time ago, but power drain was much higher than stable when the screen was on, so went back to stable. Is the situation improved?
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 @Users of 1.8.5: can you tell me how's battery compared to stable? So far so good :D Hard game+music+wifi+gmail(not simmultaneously of course :D) and now I have 33% just in 2nd day..
Guest fpbasilio Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 tried out 1.8.5 and so far so good. only issue was that camcorder doesnt seem to focus (pressing camera button halfway doesnt do anything) am i missing something? but i gotta say its the best camcorder on all 2.3 roms i tried installed lg camera app from market and focusing on videos is great. and seems to produce better videos (with correct setting) but i also feel phone is a bit laggy at times batt drain is really heavy for me but then again it might be my own battery issue.(still awaiting my new mugen batt from mail :-)) thanks lens great work
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 camcorder doesnt seem to focus It's true, noone seems to fixing it.
Guest MCAlex Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 I think in mine focus is working o_O with MIUI Lens_Flare 1.7.29
Guest renzs Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 (edited) Aaaargh!! I'm really frustrated. This is a great ROM. I've tried it and really like it. Problem is I can't use my work mail client with it. It just time out. Tried with MIUI 2.3.4a and LiquidNext and is OK. Hope someone willing to try the client below and see if working on their liquid with MIUI 1.8.5 seven I'm really hoping there's a way to solve it. Many thanks.. ~renzs Edited August 9, 2011 by renzs
Guest stef07 Posted August 9, 2011 Report Posted August 9, 2011 What about prox sensor? There's something as the LiquidNext background app running during a call?
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 I think in mine focus is working Yeah, with camera, not with camcoder :D What about prox sensor? There's something as the LiquidNext background app running during a call? Nomore Liquid Apps.
Guest stef07 Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Yeah, with camera, not with camcoder :D Nomore Liquid Apps. So prox sensor is working well?
Guest Master_T Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Using 1.8.5 and so far so good. Only issue I found : opening the dnd mode settings causes an FC every time. For the rest its really good, in particular I noticed changing screen orientation is much faster than it used to be,it took ages on 2.3.4
Guest Güilzom Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 I installed yesterday, but is really slow and got a lot of FC. I came from 1.7.15 and was working fluidly but now i just re flash it 3 times and still have problems. I'm trying to get the best formula for get the best performace with my liquid, I expect your recommendations based on your experience. Question. I have an A1 version with a 8gb class 4 micro sd In gingerbread (epecially MIUI), still is recommendend to use the swap and the ext2-apps2sd ?? Don't have much knowledge about swap improves, and in the other side, I usually get out of space when install all my apps, that's why i have an ext partition I haven't try the native apps2sd in a while (since froyo and then no many apps support it), so don't know if the preformance is better now vs the ext2-appsd. Using native apps2sd, what kind apps i should left on the internal memory (widgets, home lauchers ??) What about, compcache ?? Should enable it ?
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 now i just re flash it 3 times and still have problems Something went wrong for you.. you have to rewipe all(sd included) and flash. In gingerbread (epecially MIUI), still is recommendend to use the swap and the ext2-apps2sd ?? Nope I haven't try the native apps2sd in a while (since froyo and then no many apps support it), so don't know if the preformance is better now vs the ext2-appsd. a2sd with EXT is really better, coz it works like your apps are in internal memory, so, any app can be moved. Using native apps2sd, what kind apps i should left on the internal memory (widgets, home lauchers ??) System apps and some auto-loadable stuff(especially with own service) What about, compcache ?? Should enable it ? You don't have to use compcache.
Guest Master_T Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Another small issue: Missed Call LED is broken again.... it worked well in 2.3.4a but in 1.8.5 it always shows the message led instead. I tried installing LNP and enable the "fix call LED" setting and it almost works: it flashes BOTH sms and call led! Hope it can be fixed...
Guest Christoforos22 Posted August 10, 2011 Report Posted August 10, 2011 Proximity sensor seems not be working. Screen does not come up after a call. I have wiped before installing.
