Guest Master_T Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 .26 Is based on LN kernel already. Cool, didn't realise that! Well, I'll still wait for one based on 1.8 since it's supposed to eat less battery (or is .26 already based on the new version? I doubt it since it came out today?)
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) Nope, 1.8.26 is based on LN 1.6 and 1.7. Future versions will be surely based on 1.8 one ;] Edited August 29, 2011 by Lens_flare

Guest Auxx Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 Waiting for rebase on 1.8 LN kernel. Another thing - don't set VM heap to 48MB or anything above 24MB. High values cause A LOT OF lags on Liquid with 256MB RAM when lots of services run in background.
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 29, 2011 Report Posted August 29, 2011 So should I split versions to A1/E? :/ Oh please.. All is ok even with high values.. BTW, I don't think that mic problem have fixed in new LN.

Guest Lens_flare Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 48MB? o.O really? I heard the optimal number is 2048... am I wrong?! 2048 is sd cache sizie, 48 is vm heap size :)
Guest Auxx Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 Well, my Liquid is 99% unusable with 48mb.
Guest MCAlex Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 2048 is sd cache sizie, 48 is vm heap size :) Ops, you're right - as always :D And how/where can I see the vm heap size? :)
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 In build.prop which is in system folder. line is vm.heapsize=
Guest MCAlex Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 In build.prop which is in system folder. line is vm.heapsize= thank you :)
Guest Auxx Posted August 30, 2011 Report Posted August 30, 2011 I have lots of lags when memory is low and I don't know the reason. I had the same issues only running LN 1.7 with V6. No swap and compcache. How to diagnose what's the reason and fight this problem?

No swap and compcache. How to diagnose what's the reason and fight this problem? I think you should activate compcache. And if you have a fast SD card - class 6 or more - create a 256MB swap. By the way have you tried using SetCPU with the option lagfree?
Guest Lens_flare Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 I think you should activate compcache. And if you have a fast SD card - class 6 or more - create a 256MB swap. But don't mix them :D
Guest MCAlex Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 But don't mix them :D Yup, I had to write OR not AND :D
Guest Auxx Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 Something tells it's that my SD is dying. Checking now...
Guest MCAlex Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 Something tells it's that my SD is dying. Checking now... Why?! BTW Lens, I think there's something strange with the MMS service. I received a few MMS and I can't open some of them: I mean, I click on it to see the attachment and it "closes" :(

Guest Wawa63 Posted August 31, 2011 Report Posted August 31, 2011 Fantastic, this is simply thé Best rom I ever tried, there are no lags, it's very smooth, even smoother than liquid next !!! I've tried every miui rom since 1.3.x, cm7 nightlies, and all liquid nexts, and I can say this miui is the best. Thank you so much Lens Flare for porting MIUI roms on Acer Liquid.
