Was looking around and found this, tried and tested the 4pda mooncake v1.88 links down at the bottom, credit goes to 4pda guys and deadlink for the kernal, heres the thread http://4pda.ru/forum...=224867&st=5040 . screen calibaration is spot on and battery is excellent (3 days since charge with use and i have 55% left still) MAKE SURE YOU MAKE BACKUP FIRST install rom then install kernal straight after before rebooting, its streamlined but you can add apps to your choice.TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK......

EDIT: sry i had to go out and didnt put instructions (tigtex thx) for those who wanted them

-> Requires clockworkmod recovery!!!

1. First backup your old ROM, so if anything is broken you can just rollback!!!

How to backup:

Press powerbutton and VolumeDown (leave volume down pressed). After 10 seconds, recovery will open

With volume keys, go to "backup and restore". Select that option

Now select "Backup" and wait

2.Copy the rom and the new kernal to the root of your sd-card

3.Start clockworkmod recovery (read above how to)

4.Select "wipe data/factory reset"

5.Go to submenu "mounts and storage"

6.Choose "format /boot" "format /data" "format /cache" "format /system" "format /sd-ext" - confirm every action

7.Return to 1st menu and goto Advanced and delete Dalvik cache

8.Return to 1st menu and choose "instal zip from sdcard" - "choose zip" (link at the bottom)

9.Repeat step 8 but install new kernal zip this time (link at the bottom)

10.After installing, do "reboot system now"

I edited the build.prop file soit has default English language

I uploaded a modded version of this rom with ENGLISH as default language and a couple of apps added to it here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=FTLM25N6

and heres the kernal http://www.megaupload.com/?d=8BP2X3E5 follow the steps above 1-9. If you want gapps market (optional) install this too http://www.mediafire...x4kcncqyqzz39kf through clockwork recovery (install .zip)

maybe its just my phone model, but the screen calibration is still little off. also, the touch sensitivity is slightly non-responsive. while typing a message, pressing left of the space bar, resulted letters q,a,d,r. I observed the same for few of the other letters. I reverted to my b08 backup so cant comment on the battery life.

thx for the feedback, its great we have all these ROMS to choose from now, installing them and testing is the only way to get a true picture to whether it suits your needs and hardware.......i`m gonna experiment with the 2.3.5 from 4pda and see whats like.......also the 2.3.5 B01 i may try and transplant the deadlink kernal into it and see if it improves things with it........

seems like the recovery.img has got messed up..if you can connect to fastboot, then erase the current recovery and flash the one which works..i havent tested this because i never run into this kinda situtation..alternatively , you can simply flash your nandroid backup.

Very silky scrolling, nice. But sadly the keyboard is spitting out random characters again with this one.

No good, so back to CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC0-mooncake-KANG perfect keyboard :)
